About Me
Victoria Acebo, Owner/Director
I started creating pickleball retreats in 2024; I hold a Ph.D. in psychology and over 20 years of clinical experience; I am also a PPR trained teaching pickleball pro, and a certified Reiki Master Teacher.
I live in Austin, Texas and am a mom to two teenagers and a wonder mutt named Biscuit. I play 4.5/5.0 pickleball and I am part of a Texas Senior Pro Women's Team.
To me, pickleball is a gift from the universe and it has no doubt changed my life. Aside from the organic community it builds, all the same principles that apply to leading an authentic life off the court apply to one's success on the court - staying present in your body versus stuck in your head, letting go of mistakes, being patient (so hard!), and most of all, having fun. I like to call pickleball, "an experiential playground for personal development." As they say, "the way you do one thing is the way you do everything." Pickleball can be a great teacher if you let it be. I promise you will have fun.
